Wireless USB — Cables be gone.

One of the great things about Toshiba laptops is the way they expand your possibilities by letting you take advantage of popular full-size gear like speakers, printers, digital cameras, network routers, TV tuners, gaming controllers, smart phones and more. But sometimes it’s easy to hit a snag with all those cables. Well, not any longer. Because Toshiba is proud to present new wireless USB on select Qosmio® models.

Kiss those cords goodbye

With wireless USB on your laptop you can say sayonara to that bird’s nest of cables, that ugly, dust-loving USB hub, or that danged dongle hooked to the back of your machine. Now feel free to add peripherals such as mice, keyboards, speakers, external hard drives, printers, scanners and more to your laptop—without adding to your cable clutter.

Fulfill the need for speed

The other big benefit of wireless USB is that it’s many times faster than other wireless technologies you may have—like Bluetooth® or 802.11 Wi-Fi®. So if you’re transferring tunes to and from your MP3 player, listening to music on Bluetooth® speakers, or synching with your smart phone, you’ll really see the difference.

Roam from room to room

Wireless USB is also a great way to transform your house into a hyper-cool, cable-free zone. Take your Toshiba laptop off the desk and game with your friends using a wireless controller. View pictures from your camera on one of our big TruBrite® displays without plugging in. Or sit in your den and enjoy multimedia from your home server. You’re not tied down anymore.

* Because the built-in wireless USB device makes use of new technologies, certain compatibility and/or performance issues are possible. Certain functions on external wireless USB devices or wired USB devices connected via a wireless USB accessory may not be available. The built-in wireless USB device does not support connection of isochronous devices, e.g., A/V streaming devices such as webcams, audio devices, certain speakers, USB Bluetooth adapters or USB fax machines. When using isochronous devices, Toshiba recommends that you connect those devices directly to the USB ports on the computer.
